Purpose

The Christian Homeschool Association of Rocky Mount, Inc. was designed to provide a wide range of support to those families who homeschool and choose to associate themselves with other homeschoolers. While professions of faith, doctrine, and religious persuasions are not required for membership, the organizing leaders and subsequent leadership established the group with a sound Biblical consensus that education is the God-given right and responsibility of parents. A Christian perspective is always in mind in the determining of group activities and support of both the parents and the children. The chief purpose of the organization is to support and promote homeschooling as a legitimate form of education. This support varies according to the gifts and talents of the active membership. It broadens as leadership talent is developed, community resources are located, and membership needs are expressed.
